Strangulated Umbilical Hernia: A Case Report

Background: The abdominal wall hernia repair was one of the most frequently performed operations by general surgeons worldwide. second common operation is repairs umbilical hernia. It estimated that 5% individuals will develop an over their lifetime. This study aimed to present a case strangulated hernia.
 Case presentation: 51 years old male patient presented with sharp, non-radiating pain in left region, obstipation, and noted bulge at his umbilicus about year ago did not shrink when he lying down two days ago, diameter 7 cm. A plain Abdominal X-ray showed partial small bowel obstruction. taken theatre for laparotomy resection reanastomose ileum defect mesh. Prior surgery, received antibiotic therapy Cefazolin 2gr intravenous, nasogastric decompression tube (NGT) installed. On exploration, it found necrotic along 15 cm resection, followed end-to-end anastomosis. After surgical procedure, patient's hemodynamics stable.
 Conclusion: Overall mortality prognosis are influenced whether surgery emergent or elective. Mortality increased up 3% emergency bowel, notably performed.
